Dr. Eva Kaptijn
Eva Kaptijn studied Theoretical Archaeology and Archaeology of the southern Levant at Leiden University. In October 2009 she received her doctors degree at Leiden University on the dissertation "Life on the watershed. Reconstructing subsistence in a steppe region using archaeological survey: a diachronic perspective on habitation in the Jordan Valley" (Leiden 2009, Sidestone Press). In 2009 she joined the Sagalassos Archaeological Research Project at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven as a postdoctoral researcher to carry out the archaeological survey in the territory of Sagalassos. Special research interests include diachronic habitation patterns, ancient subsistence, land use and irrigation.
